Gone too soon....

I do apologize for the delay in posts and not keeping up with my own schedule, but as all of you know life tends to get in the way.

I did want to take this time to speak about an ARTIST that Toronto, Canada and the WORLD lost too soon.

Haydain Neale of the group "Jacksoul" lost his battle with Lung Cancer this weekend and passed away at the age of 39. I can't express how horrible this makes me feel as this is one of the artists from Toronto that I have always enjoyed listening to.

I had the privilege to meet Hayden at a corporate function some time ago and he was as cool as the music his band produced. In an industry where snobish attitudes and bitterness from artists is far too common, this man was a gentleman and was honest in his approach, demeanor and candor.

My condolences go out to his entire family and I hope you will take the time out to listen to the music this group contributed to the Canada music scene. Also, please do not hesitate to dontate to any cause dealing with fatal diseases, it is far too often we lose GREAT PEOPLE to them.

I have embedded one of my favourite songs below from the group Jacksoul, enjoy.

RIP Haydain Neale

Relic the Oddity

Hello Ya'll,

Now I know I promised this a whilw ago, but things come up and my short term memory isn't what it used to be !!

So here goes:

Relic the Oddity aka REL McCoy

This is by far one of my favourite emcees. I have had the pleasure of knowing Relic for the better part of 20 years. REL has been producing beats and rhyming from since before I know him and one thing I can say for this cat is that he's always been Sharp.

He just released his sophomore effot titled "The Green Light" which is banging. Underground hip hop at it's finest. Featured on the project, he's got cats like Saukrates, Shad and Oms Law (amongst others).

This, and his previous album (It's all RELative) is available on iTunes so please BUY IT.

if you want to learn more about this cat, go here:
